Remember those Powerbooks that came out in the late 90s?
I got one.
I named him “Blinky.”
I wouldn’t have been able to write a lot of things, (most of which were scrapped because that’s what happens in the writing process, and yet it’s so important to do), without that little guy.
I wish Blinky still worked. (Yes, I still have him.) I’m super attached to some things. Not all things, and certainly not all people, but things that help me see stuff in a new way, yes. And that definitely happened here.
Writing began with Blinky. Writing mattered.
For today’s entry on my 30daysofthanks project, I’m grateful to Blinky.
Thank you, old man.
Do you name your computer(s)? Phones? Other things? Once, I read that people listed as their favorite piece of furniture, “My computer.” Millenials.
